Recently, photographers in Aksai County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province encountered hundreds of wild yaks migrating in the snow in the Qilian Mountains on their way to Harteng Village. The scene was spectacular.
The wild yak is distributed in the alpine meadows and deserts of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with an altitude of 3000 to 6000 meters. It is one of China's precious wildlife resources and is listed as a national first-level protected wildlife.
