Turki takes a picture with his pregnant wife moments before she is pushed from the top of a cliff

A 40-year-old Turkish husband threw his 32-year-old pregnant wife with her at the top of a cliff that led to her death, so that he could claim money for life insurance against personal accidents of more than 40,000 pounds, according to British "Daily Mail" website.

The man was arrested on charges of murder, and prosecutors said that the accident, which occurred in Mugla, Turkey, was in fact a murder carried out by the husband so that he could benefit from the insurance he had obtained shortly before the death of the wife.

Prosecutors claimed that the only reason they were sitting on top of the cliff for three hours was so that he could make sure that there was no one around.

The Supreme Criminal Court ruled to return him to pretrial detention for premeditated murder.

The husband denied responsibility for her death, saying: 'After taking a picture, my wife put the phone in her bag and asked me later to give her the phone.

Then I got up and heard my wife screaming behind me when I walked a few steps away to take the phone out of her bag, and she wasn't there when I got back, I didn't pay my wife.

The case is still being investigated.
