The reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Acheng District Committee of Harbin that at 15:24 pm on February 17, 2021, the 110 Command Center of Acheng District received a public alarm that the cable car system of the Shangjing International Ski Resort in Yuquan Street, Acheng District, failed. Hovering in mid-air, 19 tourists were trapped on the cable car.
Six of the tourists were injured during the rescue by the staff of the ski resort and were rushed to the Acheng District People's Hospital for examination and treatment. As of 18:20, all the trapped tourists were successfully rescued.
As of 10 o'clock in the evening of the same day, 5 people have been transferred to the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University for treatment; 1 person is suspected of having a neck injury. He has gone home and will continue to be checked tomorrow.
After the incident, Acheng District Emergency Bureau, Market Supervision Bureau, Public Security Bureau, Cultural Tourism Bureau, Fire Rescue Brigade, 120 Emergency Center and other units and relevant personnel from the Acheng District Committee and District Government rushed to the scene for rescue.
