At JR Toyama Station, station staff have been working since the 15th wearing masks designed for sightseeing spots in Toyama City.

"Toyamask" was created by Toyama City in an attempt to convey the appeal of tourism resources in Toyama City while preventing the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

This mask comes in two colors, navy blue and enji, and includes the famous "Masuzushi", the cherry blossoms that bloom in "Matsukawa" that flows through the city, and the traditional event "Owara Kaze no Bon" that is held every September. Illustration is drawn with the characters of Toyama City's catch phrase "A MAGING TOYAMA".

On the 15th, about 20 station staff wearing "Toya Mask" responded to customers at the ticket gates.

Makoto Shibano, assistant sales manager of JR Toyama Station, said, "I would like to call on people to wear masks to prevent infection through Toya masks and to convey the good points of Toyama City."
