On the early morning of the 15th, an NHK news agency employee was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of injury for assaulting and injuring a taxi driver in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo.
NHK says, "We regret that the staff was arrested, and we will confirm the facts and deal with them rigorously."
The person arrested was Ryosuke Sayamoto (32) of the NHK News Bureau Video Center.
According to an investigation by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, there is a suspicion of injury on the streets of Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo on the early morning of the 15th, alleging that he assaulted a passing taxi driver and injured him.
It means that he has stated to the investigation that he is "drunk and does not remember."
NHK says, "It is regrettable that the staff was arrested. We will confirm the facts, deal with them rigorously, and cooperate with the investigation."
