Downton Abbey

, the actress will be in the cast of the next film adapted from the British series.

She should play the role of a close friend of Lady Violet Crawley, played by Maggie Smith.

The previous film adaptation of

Downton Abbey

, released in 2019, ended with the news of Violet's illness.

A chronological sequence

As the British daily stated, Lady Violet Crawley “will be surrounded, as usual, by her family, including Hugh Bonneville as Lord Grantham and Elizabeth McGovern as his wife Cora.

Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) and her husband Henry (Matthew Goode) will be at the heart of the story as well, as will her sister Lady Edith, played by Laura Carmichael ”.

The plot of this new installment has not yet been revealed, as reported by the Huffington Post, it should be a chronological sequel to the previous film.
