TF1 broadcasts new episodes every Monday "I promise you", French adaptation of the American series "This is us".
The singer and actress Camille Lou, who holds one of the main roles, explains in "It feels good" the choices that the chain has made to make an American production tricolor.

She admits that the fact that it is an adapted series initially caused her some suspicion, before being seduced by the project.

Je te promis
is completely French. We are in France, French music, French events", warns Camille Lou.
Because the original series, which follows the evolution of a family over several decades, is deeply rooted in the history of the United States.
"Rediscover the series in another universe"
The actress, who has not seen
This is us
, was initially put off by this adaptation project.
"But I read it all the same, because I am extremely curious. And that the priori, it is stupid", she explains.
And the scenario seduced her.
"This is an opportunity, for many French people who do not know
This is us
, to discover a series via the French version and then to go see the American version. Or, for people who have seen the American version, to rediscover it in another universe. "
In addition to many adaptations of the script, the producer made sure that each episode contains a song from French musical heritage.
Because the series develops over 40 years of evolution of French society.

Another change from the original,

chose to use different actors to play the same character at different ages of life.
The American version preferred makeup and special effects.
"It was a big debate", reveals Camille Lou.
"A lot of people who say that in the American series, it shows. For
I promise,
it's like in
The Crown
: when the actress changes it disturbs a bit, but you get used to it quickly".
