A team of marine firefighters from Marseille has been sent to Moselle to help deal with the coronavirus epidemic -

This Sunday, in the morning, a dozen marine firefighters left the Marseille battalion for the Moselle, in order to conduct “health assessment operations” in the face of Covid-19, according to a press release.

The mission of this “mobile biological intervention column” is “the health assessment of specific areas, the production of a map of the circulation of the virus in the environment, the research and identification of variants and finally, the contribution of [their] technical expertise ”for the benefit of the department's firefighters.

Progression of the South African variant

This reinforcement follows directives from the interministerial crisis center on the situation in Moselle.

The marine firefighters will be able to intervene as early as Monday morning, after meeting with the authorities, specify the marine firefighters at

20 minutes.

The department is hard hit by the coronavirus epidemic.
