asked six artists nominated in Revelations categories to imagine a perfect category for victories.

The popular adage (here stripped of its sexism) is still as true as the 2021 edition of the Victoires de la musique delivers its verdict on Friday evening.
Beyond the prize list or the quality of the ceremony, music and trophy lovers scrutinize the categories every year.

At the heart of the debates there was, for example, the question of hip-hop.
Does it need a Victory apart like rock or song?
Should we say "urban music" or "rap"?
There is also the question of the gender of the nominees.

Categories to imagine
These questions are not just anecdotal.
The way the profession congratulates itself says a lot about how it sees itself.
A ceremony must evolve along with the art it represents.
To give some air and ideas to the instigators of the Victories, 20 Minutes asked the six artists nominated in the Revelations categories for their "dream" category.
Hervé: The victory of mixing and mastering
