Christian Perrissin and Matthieu Blanchin offer a comic book, a great historical and epic tale of Commodore George Anson who left around the world at the head of eight ships and 2000 men to impose the maritime supremacy of the United Kingdom at the request of King George II .

Publicity

His name was George Anson.

In 18th century England, he was nicknamed "The Father of the Navy".

It must be said that he succeeded in an extraordinary adventure: to command an expedition destined to ruin the Spanish colonies on the Pacific coast of Latin America.

A hell of a world tour playing hide and seek with the enemy, bypassing the passage of the straits of Cape Horn and the Black Cape, taming the rise of the American West coast with raids against merchant ships, the capture of the city Peruvian of Païta and the capture of the legendary Golden Galleon of Manila and the crossing of the Pacific.

Then, from the Indian Ocean to the Cape of Good Hope before the Atlantic climb, four years of adventures under the threat of the Spanish enemy, storms and scurvy, and hundreds of deaths as a result.

Here is the material for a superb album for two comic book authors, accustomed to extraordinary destinies and epic adventures:

Christian Perrissin

and designer

Matthieu Blanchin

.

“The Journey of Commodore Anson” has just been released by Futuropolis editions.
