M6 slashes the champagne this Thursday morning.

The first episode of the twelfth season of

Top Chef

, which aired Wednesday evening, was watched by an average of 3.5 million people between 9:05 p.m. and midnight.

An “exceptional launch”, according to the chain, and for good reason, this is the best start in the culinary competition since its creation.

"Leadership on targets"

By way of comparison, 3.08 million viewers were present for the start of the previous season, in February 2020.

, the TF1 series, came at the top of the evening's audiences with 3.87 million followers, M6 is pleased to have recorded a peak at 4.4 million people and underlines its "leadership" on advertising targets, including so coveted "French responsible for purchases under 50".

In this segment, the audience share is 32%.
