She was expected and she finally made it.

Brittany woke up this Wednesday morning under a beautiful blanket of snow with up to 15 centimeters in places, especially in the Côtes-d'Armor.

In Rennes, the snowfall was a little less abundant with a layer of about 5 centimeters.

But the fun was intact for young and old alike with snowball battles on the way to schools and cute snowmen blooming all over the city.

The snowfall gradually faded during the night but vigilance remains on the roads.

Many axes are indeed still snowy and icy, making traffic very difficult in the region.

As temperatures remain low, the situation should remain complicated throughout the day and into the evening with a high risk of ice.

Buses at the stop this Wednesday morning in Rennes and Saint-Malo

This snowy episode, quite exceptional in the region, however, did not cause a mess on the roads.

Apart from a little crumpled iron, no serious accidents have been reported in the region.

However, the ban on heavy goods vehicles remains in Ille-et-Vilaine and Côtes-d'Armor where several dozen trucks were stranded last night.

Our file on snow

In large cities, public transport was also disrupted with no buses circulating in Saint-Malo, Saint-Brieuc or Rennes early this morning.

In the Breton capital, the main main bus lines should gradually resume service in the morning.
