In its third and final stop this year, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature stops, the day after tomorrow, at Alserkal Avenue, a vibrant cultural area in Dubai's Al Quoz Industrial District, which includes more than 70 local companies and companies led by entrepreneurs.

The festival’s closing activities will continue throughout the next Friday and Saturday, to be the end of this year's session that sought to “change the story” and embody the meanings of creativity, hope and victory over adversity through the festival, which is organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and President of the State Cabinet and Ruler of Dubai.

Among the most prominent participants in the activities of the last weekend is the Emirati writer Omar Ghobash, in addition to the poet Yamen Seesay, who will participate via live broadcast from Britain, in a discussion session in which he talks about his famous memoir "My Name is Why".

The festival concludes with its inspiring sessions with the performance of poets: Dana Dajani, Yaman Sisay, Afra Ateeq, Danabel Guterres and Zina Hashem Bey.

Laughter yoga

The weekend will kick off with a happy start with the "Laughter Yoga" session with Ranga, followed by a session of the two leading pioneers in their field, Hafsa Lodi and Huria Al Taheri, who will discuss fashion and feminist football issues.

Meanwhile, writer Fadi Zaghmout will talk in a session on the issue of balance between freedom of the writer and what is not socially acceptable.

During the closing events of the festival, Julia Johnson will release her latest children's book, titled "Where's Everyone?", In which a group of creatures asks: Why did humans disappear from the desert?

Travel may be suspended for the time being, but the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature fans can still shape a glimpse of multiple places in the world through the "Literature Live Around the World" initiative, which brings together more than 12 international literary festivals.

The initiative is presented by the Bergen International Literary Festival in Norway.

Alserkal Avenue will broadcast various events from these festivals directly, and the broadcast will include a live performance from Dubai.

Refine their talents

The day after tomorrow, visitors can hone their talents and skills through workshops on creative writing with novelist Nasir Iraq, as well as the historical novel design workshop with Rehan Khan, or unleash their inner voices by expressing themselves through words with Farah Shamma's workshop.

As part of next Saturday's events, Heather Grace will demonstrate how writing can be used for self-discovery and mental health promotion.

Faraz will present Ali with the tools needed to restore the art of writing letters, and will announce the winners of the Montegrappa Prize for Writing Letters.

Visitors can learn editing skills on Wikipedia, and help present the treasures of Arabic literature to a wider audience by joining the workshop presented by the Emirates Literature Foundation's "Written Written" project.

One of the creative activities at "The Jam Jar" is a workshop dedicated to those who love reading, through which participants will be able to present a detailed illustration of their favorite bookshelf.
