A “new crime” soon to be created to penalize rape of minors?

The government pleaded on Tuesday for the definition of a “new crime” which would penalize “any sexual penetration” on a minor under 15, while several bills are on the table to better punish sexual violence committed against younger.

“After having consulted, we are in favor of defining a new crime, that is to say that any act of sexual penetration committed by an adult on a minor of 15 years would be a crime, without it being no more question of consent, ”declared on Europe 1 the Secretary of State for Children and Families, Adrien Taquet, commissioned two weeks ago by Emmanuel Macron after the release of speech on the subject of incest.
