A total of five men and women in their teens to 80s living in Hyogo Prefecture have been confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus, which is widespread in the United Kingdom.



According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, four of them have no history of staying abroad with close contacts, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare believes that a cluster has occurred.



The remaining one has never stayed abroad and is a close contact with a woman who had already been found to be infected by quarantine at Kansai Airport.



In Saitama Prefecture, it was newly found that a total of three people, including two under the age of 10, were infected with the mutant virus.



Of these, girls under the age of 10 are related to the facility where the child attends, which has been confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus one after another.



According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, "We do not have enough information to conclude whether there is a spread of the infection, and we would like to continue to monitor and evaluate it."



In addition, quarantine at Narita Airport revealed that three men and women were infected with a mutant virus confirmed in the United Kingdom and South Africa.



A total of 92 people, including airport quarantine, were confirmed infected with the mutant virus in Japan.
