The "hotline" coordinated between the donor and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, to transfer the donation amount to the patient's account at the specialized hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Last Tuesday, Emirates Today published the story of Abu Anas’s inability to provide for the 173,000 dirhams of treatment for his son from quadriplegia, which he had suffered since birth, and the child needed urgent and intensive sessions of rehabilitative, functional and speech therapy in a specialized hospital in Abu Dhabi.

The medical reports indicated that “(Anas) has been suffering from cerebral palsy for four years, due to his epilepsy, and his exposure to severe convulsions, which led to his cerebral palsy, a deviation in the spine, and the inability to swallow, and he is bedridden most of the time, and depends on a tube In feeding him ».

Abu Anas said to Emirates Today: “My son is my first child, and all stages of his mother’s pregnancy passed in him naturally, and all the examinations promised that she and the child were in good and stable condition, but she had complications during childbirth, so the doctor decided to perform a cesarean delivery for her. The newborn was transferred to the pediatric intensive care unit due to his convulsions, and he stayed there for two days.

He added: "(Anas) health improved, and the doctor allowed us to be discharged from the hospital, but he told us that he was paralyzed."

He continued, "After my son completed two years of age, we noticed that he could not pronounce words like other children, and he was not able to walk naturally, so I presented him to a neurologist who asked us to present him to one of the specialized centers in the brain."

The father said: "I (Anas) was shown to a doctor in a center specialized in treating brain diseases, and the examinations and CT scans that were conducted for him showed that there was a defect in brain functions."

He added: “When (Anas) reached three years and 10 months, he suffered from severe spasticity, as a result of which he entered the intensive care unit at Al-Noor Hospital, and stayed for two weeks, and then he was transferred to Tawam Hospital in the Al-Ain region, and he remained for three weeks in intensive care, from which he was transferred to the city Khalifa Medical Center, where he stayed for a month in the intensive care unit, and the doctor told us that he had quadriplegic cerebral palsy.

The father pointed out that “Anas’s condition requires, according to what the doctors indicated, that he be bedridden most of the time, so we have to provide a medical bed, a wheelchair, medicines for convulsions, other medicines for drooling, and medicines for relaxing nerves daily, and I am unable to manage the cost of his treatment requirements. ».

Abu Anas works in a private company in Abu Dhabi, and his salary is 12 thousand dirhams, from which he pays 4,400 dirhams for housing rent, 1,500 dirhams for bank installments, and what remains is barely enough to support his family, which consists of three members.
