[New Year Chronicle] Taiwanese youth stay in Chongqing to celebrate the New Year: humanities and "blood" connected

[Explanation] In the past few days, in the most prosperous Jiefangbei business district in Chongqing, blood donation activities initiated by the Youth Committee of the Chongqing Taiwan Business Association are continuing.

Many young people from Taiwan who stayed in the mainland to celebrate the New Year actively participated, hoping to greet the new year by donating blood without compensation.

Young people from Taiwan line up outside the blood donation vehicle to donate blood. Some of them donate blood for the first time, and some have donated blood many times.

Zhang Bokai, who donated blood for the first time in the mainland, is one of them.

As the Spring Festival approaches, Chongqing blood stocks are tight.

Zhang Bokai said that everyone is full of blood, and it is very meaningful to do something for the compatriots in the mainland.

[Explanation] Pan Jianwen has been working in the mainland for 12 years, before he was a professional manager.

During the years of working in the mainland, he found opportunities everywhere in the fast-growing mainland. He simply started his own business and currently runs several companies in Chongqing.

This time, Pan Jianwen not only actively donated blood by himself, but also organized company employees to donate blood.

He said that it is a very happy thing to be able to contribute a little to the mainland compatriots.

The first reason for this event is that blood donation itself is helpful to our body; the second is because Chongqing is also very ischemic at present, so we organized such a blood donation event mainly to alleviate these blood shortages. .

[Explanation] The Spring Festival is a traditional festival for the Chinese nation. Family reunion is the common wish of everyone. The upcoming Spring Festival is Pan Jianwen’s first New Year celebration in the mainland.

Staying in Chongqing for the New Year, his family has become his biggest concern.

However, in order to prevent and control the epidemic, Pan Jianwen believes that this sacrifice is worthwhile.

He said that although he cannot return to his parents this Spring Festival, he can call and video greetings.

[Explanation] Zang Mingyuan, who has lived in the mainland for 18 years, can't remember how many Spring Festivals he spent in the mainland.

Zang Mingyuan grew up in a village in Taiwan, and talked about the customs of the village in Taiwan for the New Year.

Zang Mingyuan said that although he is on the mainland, the customs of the New Year are the same as in the military village.

He said that there is also a taste of home in Chongqing New Year.

When the spring flowers bloom and the mountains and rivers are intact, I will return to Taiwan to visit my parents.

Many wanderers, or people who are working hard outside, want to go home and reunite together.

Because the past two years are quite special and the cause of the epidemic.

We stay here to celebrate the New Year, we also communicate with the people in our family, and they agree very much. The humanities and customs are the same as ours in the village.

[Explanation] According to calculations by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government, nearly 90% of Taiwanese businessmen choose to stay in Chongqing for the New Year.

The Taiwan Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipality has visited many Taiwanese enterprises in the past few days and carried out a variety of activities to welcome the Spring Festival.
