Recently, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs jointly issued an announcement to officially announce the newly adjusted "List of National Key Protected Wild Animals" (hereinafter referred to as the "List").

On the basis that all species of the original "List" have been retained, the adjusted "List" will promote the jackal, Yangtze finless porpoise and other 65 species of animals into national first-class protected wildlife.

  The three wild animals of bear monkey, ibex, and python have been adjusted from national first-level protected wild animals to national second-level.

In addition, 517 new species (types) of wild animals were added.

Among them, 43 species such as the great tabby civet are listed as national first-level protected wild animals, and 474 species (classes) such as wolves are listed as national second-level protected wild animals.
