What are the most common infections?
In this episode, the doctor Michel Lenois evokes urethritis, when the urethra, the conduit which is used to evacuate urine and semen, is infected by germs, in particular sexually transmitted germs.
It evokes gonococcal infections (the "hot-piss"), painful on urination, which causes a discharge.
The doctor also reviews infections with
chlamydia
bacteria
, mycoplasma germs.
All these infections can be treated, reminds the doctor, insisting on the treatment to be given to the partner who may be infected, without visible symptoms.
Herpes and yeast infections
Michel Lenois also discusses genital herpes, painful, which causes small vesicles, and "which can be very disabling", he emphasizes.
"The problem is the outbreaks that occur afterwards," recalls the doctor, since herpes cannot be eradicated.
The bronze medal for zizi sores goes to fungal infections, which are characterized by “a whitish coating on the acorn”.
Here again, we must treat the partner who may be infected, without visible symptoms.
Finally, the doctor underlines the importance of the condom to avoid co-infections and sexually transmitted diseases, such as HIV.
