Young scholarship graduates will be able to keep part of their scholarship for four months, the Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne explained on Friday.

This new system should make it possible to support young graduates looking for a first job.

"I would like to tell all the young graduates, who are looking for work and who were scholarship recipients for the 2019-2020 academic year, that they are entitled to a four-month assistance", indicated the Minister, guest of France Bleu Paris.

“They will receive 70% of the amount of their scholarship and 100 euros if they no longer live with their parents,” she explained.

Available this Friday

The Minister invited all the young graduates concerned to contact Pôle Emploi to benefit from the system.

"Several tens of thousands of former scholarship students will be able to benefit from this aid," said Elisabeth Borne, for a maximum amount of 500 euros per month.

This aid is part of the “youth recovery plan” proposed by the government and concerns all young people under 30 who graduated in 2020 or 2021 with a minimum bac +2, and who have benefited from a scholarship based on criteria. social during their studies.

It is available from this Friday and a request can be submitted until June 30 at the latest.

Aid of 900 euros for the most precarious

Also from this Friday, another exceptional aid promised at the end of November 2020 is also paid to certain precarious, seasonal or intermittent workers who alternated between employment and unemployment in 2019 and did not find the same level of activity in 2020 due to the health crisis.

Of the 450,000 people identified as potentially eligible for this aid of 900 euros per month, 320,000 will receive the first payments automatically by Pôle Emploi on Friday (i.e. up to 1,800 euros for the months of November and December).

"Unfortunately, there are 130,000 for which we do not have all the data in the computer system, so suddenly we have to contact them again to verify that they are indeed eligible", told AFP the Ministry of Labor , stressing that this device was "invented in an emergency".
