In Lyon, the banks of the Rhône, located along the Rhône swimming pool, are now closed to the public due to the flooding of the river, the water overflowing on the wooden decking where onlookers generally walk.

Specific signage and a detour have already been put in place to allow cyclists and pedestrians to continue their journey using the high platforms.

This Friday morning, a jogger inadvertently slipped on the wood, a slat of which broke.

Fortunately, its fall did not have a serious consequence, indicates the metropolis of Lyon, which has decided to close this 400-meter sector as a safety measure.

This closure will remain in effect throughout the weekend and the banks will not reopen until the Rhône recedes.

During this period, the Metropolis will repair the damaged part and will check the entire decking in order to be able to reopen, when the time comes, in perfect safety conditions.

According to the observatory, the level of the Rhône has however fallen since it stood on Friday at 1.94 meters at 1 p.m. against 2.43 meters Thursday at the same time.

On the other hand, that of the Saône continues to rise.

He reached 4.09 meters this Friday.
