Fisherman Hatchai Nyomdisha, who was collecting shells with his family, found a discarded buoy on the beach and took it and his brother home.When their father was working on cleaning it, he discovered the 7.68-gram pearl inside an oyster shell.

Milo pearl ranges in color from orange to brown, but orange is more expensive, and it is usually found in the South China Sea and Andaman Seas off the coast of Burma.
