Chris Pratt was forced to defend himself from being the author of racist and Islamophobic tweets.

found himself at the heart of a new controversy on Wednesday when netizens reposted what is being billed as a series of old messages from the actor, particularly racist (he used the word "nigger "), Islamophobic (he admitted to being" afraid of Muslims "), even sexist.

The posts are supposed to be from 2012 and 2013, so long before the actor had become one of Hollywood's most popular stars.

Her agents responded very firmly to TMZ, claiming that these tweets were bogus and that the star had never sent anything like it.

“Chris has never tweeted the shocking things that have been going around since yesterday.

Any suggestion that he could be the author is totally false but also, and above all, defamatory ”, we can read in the denial relayed by the publication.

Among the tweets relayed under the hashtag #RIPChrisPratt, only one was identified as real.

The Star-Lord interpreter makes a tasteless joke about the contestants Miss America, saying they "all look like Hungry Miss."

Nothing that is likely to "cancel" the star.

The tweet still appears on his account, but none of the other messages relayed exist, and his agents insist that he has never deleted any post.

The actor had already found himself targeted by many criticisms when Elliot Page criticized him for attending Hillsong Church, which he described as "anti-LGBTQ".

Chris Pratt then defended himself, claiming that nothing could be further from the truth.
