Ludwig Göransson is nominated in the category best original music in a feature film for the music of Christopher Nolan's Tenet.

He is up against, among others, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who are nominated for music in both Mank and Själen.

Göransson has been nominated for a Golden Globe before.

In 2019, he had the chance to be praised for the music for the superhero film Black Panther.

Black Panther music gave Göransson an Oscar the same year and he has won several Grammy Awards.

Last year he received an Emmy for the original music for The Mandalorian.

No red carpet this year

Of course, there will be no red carpet and glittering stars in place when the 78th Golden Globe gala kicks off the gala season despite the pandemic.

But there will still be a gala and this year the duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to the program leadership, which they will take care of from their respective American coasts.

Tina Fey will broadcast from New York while Amy Poehler will be in the gala's hometown of Los Angeles.

The nominees will probably participate from different parts of the world.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization behind the gala, has made several changes to the regulations and eased restrictions on cinema screenings and press screenings that allow films to be considered for nominations.

It opens up that streaming services such as Netflix (which already last year broke through in earnest as a gala winner to be reckoned with) will make an impression in the nomination lists.

The Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast on TV4 Play on the night of March 1.
