After 3:00 am on the 2nd, a local resident reported to the fire department that "smoke is coming out from the first floor" at a house in Miyazono, Nagareyama City.
Eight fire trucks and other vehicles went out to extinguish the fire, and the fire was extinguished about four hours later, but the two-story house was burnt and two bodies were found in the burnt remains.
According to a woman living in the neighborhood, there are two people living in this house, a mother in her 90s and a son in her 60s.
