Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya City announced on the 1st that they have confirmed that three new people are infected with the new coronavirus.
It is the first time in about two months since November 30th last year that the number of infected people per day in Tochigi Prefecture has fallen below 10.
This brings the total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture to 3,774.
In addition, Tochigi Prefecture announced that one patient infected with the new coronavirus has died, bringing the total number of infected people to 47 in the prefecture.
