The police and public prosecutor's office in Hesse raided a doctor who allegedly issued false certificates exempting him from the mask requirement in the corona pandemic.
A doctor's practice and an apartment in Gersfeld in the Fulda district were searched on Wednesday, as the investigators announced on Friday.
The physician is being investigated on suspicion of issuing false health certificates.
In the course of protests against the corona protective measures in downtown Fulda, the police were increasingly presented with medical certificates in November that were supposed to exempt them from wearing mouth and nose protection.
In several cases these were issued by the doctor.
During the raid, digital evidence was confiscated and is now being evaluated.
