Find great love while shopping?

A supermarket from Lower Franconia helps out during the Corona lockdown and lures you to “single shopping” every Friday evening.

"After all, curfew and contact restrictions are not making it easy to find a partner at the moment," said Deputy Store Manager Steven Schellhorn.

Every Friday between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., singles can grab a heart with a number at the entrance and put it on their jacket.

If an attractive single is spotted between the shelves, the number can be called at the cash register or you can leave your telephone number with a message.

Slips of paper are designed for this, on which the type of contact can be ticked, for example: "I would be happy to meet you for orange juice in the fruit department."

"I think that's a good change," said one employee who himself wears a red heart on his chest.

The offer has been around for about two years, said Schellhorn, but so far few customers have used it.

Only since Corona did the booth with the heart become an eye-catcher.
