An Italian "influencer" behind the deadly "blackout challenge" on "Tik Tok"

The Italian police began an investigation with a woman activist on social media (influencers) from Sicily today, after the death of a young girl after participating in the "blackout challenge" on the video application "TikTok".

The authorities have begun investigating the famous woman, who is from Syracuse, Sicily, and another man who produced films to challenge the blackout (Black Out) or hanging on the TikTok application, in which the participants are seen suffocating themselves and filming the event with their smartphones for publication on the Internet.

Police said the woman had hundreds of thousands of followers, and that she and the man were guilty of inciting suicide for encouraging their fans to imitate life-threatening work.

Police said the two covered their faces, including their mouths and noses, in a video clip, and then could not breathe.

During their investigations, the police found that the woman had produced several similar videos to attract more followers.

A 10-year-old girl from Palermo, Sicily, suffocated herself with a belt in her home about a week ago while participating in the "blackout challenge" and died in the hospital.
