On January 29, "South Zhang and Bei Pu-Special Exhibition of Early Paintings and Calligraphy of Zhang Daqian and Pu Xinshe" was launched in Changsha Museum.

  This exhibition is sponsored by Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television, and is jointly organized by Changsha Museum, Jilin Provincial Museum, Sichuan Museum, and Hunan Provincial Museum. It is divided into "A Thousand Thousand Articles: Turning the Ancients into My Law" and "Heart She Chapters: Far White Dust In the three units of "Teacher and Friends: Being Apprentice with Hunan", 84 paintings and calligraphy works (sets) of Zhang Daqian, Pu Xinshe and Huxiang masters were selected, covering various categories of landscapes, figures, flowers and birds.

  Among them, the "Da Qian Pian" unit concentratedly displayed 39 paintings by Zhang Daqian, including 6 works painted by Zhang Daqian and his family members and nephews when they went to Dunhuang to copy mural paintings, demonstrating the splendid magnificence of his works and the characteristics of being integrated into one family; "Xin She Pian" The 35 works in the unit show Pu Xinshe's style of painting and calligraphy, which is clear and easy, "changing with time, and combining profit and practice".

  In order to fully demonstrate the artistic style of Zhang Daqian and Pu Xinshe’s early works, the exhibition also specially selected Zhang Daqian’s green landscape exploration work "White Clouds Around the Mountains", the representative early lady painting "Line Drawing Lady", and a copy of the Dunhuang frescoes of the early Tang Dynasty. Picture; Pu Xinshe's snow-themed paintings "Snow Scenery and Cold Forest", "Snow Pavilion Living Crane", figures influenced by famous paintings in the Tang and Song Dynasties in his family's collection, pommel horse paintings "Xiguan Adjusting Horses", "Song Ape", etc. works.

  According to Huang Ai, the young curator of Changsha Museum, the "Mentor and Friends" section will display the calligraphy of He Shaoji, the landscape paintings made by Zeng Xi in his later years, Fu Zhu flower and bird paintings, and the calligraphy and painting works of Qi Baishi and others in the Hunan Provincial Museum and Changsha Museum. It aims to explore the origins of Zhang Daqian, Pu Xinshe and Huxiang art.

"This is also a special design to arouse the cultural resonance of local audiences. It is hoped that the exhibition can enhance the audience's understanding of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy and spread the excellent traditional Chinese culture."

  The exhibition will last until April 18 and is open to the public for free.
