In Kagawa Prefecture, it was newly confirmed that 10 men and women in their 20s to 80s were infected with the new coronavirus.
Five of them are the staff and residents of the special nursing home for the elderly "Koonen" in Takamatsu City, where a cluster of infected people occurred.
This brings the number of confirmed infections to 618 in Kagawa Prefecture.
