  • The Domicovid application, created by Move in Med for a clinic in Hérault, makes it possible to monitor people who have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

  • The person answers questions, and if a symptom is detected, they will be encouraged to contact the clinic, on a dedicated telephone line.

  • Launched in Castelnau-le-Lez, this application will soon be implemented in the clinipole group clinics in Saint-Clément-de-Rivière and Albi.

At the Parc clinic, in Castelnau-le-Lez (Hérault), when a person comes to be vaccinated against Covid-19, they are offered to be followed with the Domicovid application, created by the Hérault company Move in Med.

Accessible free of charge from a smartphone, it allows remote monitoring of patients by medical teams: the vaccinated person answers a few questions about their state of health every day.

If, depending on the responses provided, the application detects the appearance of adverse effects, it will encourage its user to contact the Parc clinic on a line open 24 hours a day, in order to find out what action to take.

This follow-up is offered for three days after the injection.

Reassure vaccinated people

"Our desire is to put in place a system that encourages people to be vaccinated, and that reassures them about the possible effects that could occur at the end of the vaccination," says Jérôme Saint-Léger, deputy director of the Park clinic, the private structure that has taken care of the most Covid-19 patients in Occitania.

Anything that helps make the vaccination campaign a success is worth taking.

"

However, this device is not compulsory.

For refractories, those who do not have digital tools, or who are not really familiar with their use, it is still possible to make a phone call to the clinic in the event of changes in their condition.

Soon in other clinics in Occitanie

Launched at the Castelnau-le-Lez clinic, the application will also soon be offered in the establishments of the Clinipole group which have a vaccination center, the Pic Saint-Loup, in Saint-Clément-de-Rivière (Hérault) , or Toulouse-Lautrec, in Albi (Tarn).

“Since its launch, 100% of patients who use the application have answered 100% of the questions over the three days of follow-up,” says Sylvie Boichot, the founder of Move in Med, a company specializing in coordinating the care pathway. .

In addition, another version of Domicovid is available to patients and clinic staff who test positive for Covid-19.

It allows, as after vaccination, a follow-up for ten days of their condition, once confined at home.

If the application detects a worsening of symptoms in the responses provided by the patient, an alert is generated, and he is received in the emergency room.

Conversely, it makes it possible to avoid hospitalizations when there are no serious signs, while ensuring the monitoring and rapid treatment of patients if their condition deteriorates.
