Since mid-January, 2.06 million appointments have been made via the Doctolib platform to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.

By itself, this service therefore represents 75% of the total appointments made, whether for the injection of the first or the second dose, reports

The rest of the appointments were made via the sante.fr site.

Of the 2.06 million appointments made via Doctolib, 1.29 million were made on the first two days when the slots were open, namely January 14 and 15, 2021. “The volume of appointments made on the following days decreased, not because the enthusiasm was reduced, but that the availabilities were less important ”, explained the founder of Doctolib Stanislas Noix-Château during a press conference this Wednesday.

62% of appointments made online

The platform is forced to adapt the availability according to the number of doses received by the competent authorities.

This has sometimes resulted in cancellations from some vaccination centers that did not have enough doses to inject.

Finally, Doctolib said that 62% of appointments for the coronavirus vaccine had been made online, the rest by phone.
