Nowadays, scaffolding for work is built around the Atomic Bomb Dome, and it is possible to climb to the top, and on the 27th, the situation of the site was opened to the press.

Of these, the steel frame on the ceiling was repainted in dark brown, and according to the city of Hiroshima, it was reproduced with reference to the color photographs taken by the US military shortly after the bombing.

In addition, the joints of the bricks are repaired using the materials used at that time, such as lime.

The construction is about 70% completed, so it is scheduled to be completed by the end of March.

Masaharu Sasaki, chief of the Hiroshima City Park Maintenance Division, who is in charge of the construction, said, "The Atomic Bomb Dome is a witness of history that conveys the devastation of the atomic bombing. I want to convey the devastation of the atomic bombing to the citizens and people of the world. "
