[Explanation] In the northwest of Guangxi, the passing trains need to cross the bridge, pass through the tunnel, and bend around the Dashishan area before going north.

The dangerous rock on the stone mountain is one of the biggest threats to safe railway transportation.

On January 25, the "post-90s" railway policeman Yi Fengzheng and road protector Li Yunwu conducted daily inspections of dangerous rocks in the Zhailong Police District of Liucheng County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi.

Because there is no highway along the railway where the dangerous rock is located, Yifeng needs to take a fishing boat for more than ten minutes, and then walk about two kilometers along the gravel beside the railway to reach the foot of the dangerous rock.

　　[Explanation] In October 2020, a piece of hundreds of tons of dangerous rock fell off after the rain, smashing a large hole with a diameter of more than 5 meters on the top of the railway culvert.

In order to reduce hidden dangers, Yifeng and the road protectors first climbed up the difficult-to-stand soil slope with a safety rope, and then used their hands and feet to turn over the narrow place before reaching the dangerous rock point that was already covered with "cobwebs", and then resembling spiders. Climbing on the net with hands and feet together, checking the situation of dangerous rock points one by one, stabbing hands and tearing clothes are common.

　　We will check every month to see if there are any loose rocks, and to see if the protective net measures are damaged. If there is damage or abnormality, we must report the situation to the relevant departments in time, encountering heavy rains and strong winds, etc. In severe weather, we will also see whether the protective measures are intact.

　　[Explanation] Dangerous rock sites are only one of the key points of Yifeng's inspection. The Zhailong Police District administers a 49-kilometer railway with many bridges, tunnels, and culverts. In order to reduce hidden dangers, Yifeng has to walk the entire line every month. He walked back and forth more than once, and walked more than 10 kilometers a day, leaving his footprints everywhere along the railway.

Every day over the mountains and ridges, and stepping on the sharp gravel on the countless railways, Yi Feng and other auxiliary civilian police often have to buy a new pair of shoes in two months.

In the past five years as a police officer, Yi Feng has repeatedly driven off the cattle running on the railway, stopped the villagers who were cutting trees on the mountains along the route, and checked the malfunctioning equipment.

The simple and boring job of patrolling the line is ensuring the safety of railway operation in a down-to-earth manner.

After the speed of electrification transformation, Yifeng's pressure and responsibilities have also increased.

　　This year is the first year that the Jiaoliu Railway was opened after electrification. The protective nets on both sides of the line have not been fully constructed, and there may be dangers of pedestrians and large livestock on the road. Therefore, the work pressure this year is much greater than in previous years.

　　[Explanation] Zhailong Station has a history of decades. It is a small station where buses do not stop. There is no bustling street here, and there is almost no entertainment except for mobile phones. The police stationed at the railway station stays with the railway tracks and guards silently every day. Traveling between trains and passengers.

Yi Feng also voluntarily gave up returning to Hunan to reunite with his family and stayed at the station with his colleagues to ensure the safety of the Spring Festival transport in 2021.
