Why did the rescue channel suddenly open up?

At the rescue site, an expert from the Mine Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Management pointed out that according to the expert’s forecast of weight and volume, it would take 15 days to get through from the progress of clearing 10 meters. However, a breakthrough was made on the morning of the 24th and a hole was found in the obstacle below. A large object fell, and the progress was advancing by leaps and bounds.

"The on-site command center has made a comprehensive rescue plan and made a meticulous and precise organization. It will exhaust all means to rescue at all costs," the expert said.

According to the emergency management department, there are currently 17 professional rescue teams and 1 fire rescue team, 633 rescuers and 407 rescue equipment.

Rescuers are constantly adjusting and optimizing the drill deployment plan, speeding up wellbore clearance operations, unblocking drainage channels, and continuing to communicate with trapped miners underground through life maintenance monitoring channels, transporting supplies, and racing against time to rescue trapped personnel.
