Today (25th) at 5 pm, Shandong Qixia Hushan Gold Mine Explosion Emergency Rescue Headquarters held the sixth press conference.
Chen Yumin, leader of the rescue team at the press conference, introduced that at about 13:15 pm on January 10, there was an explosion sound from the wellbore, accompanied by a great shock. The signal glass at the wellhead shattered, and then the wellhead came out thick. Smoke, an hour and a half later, at around 14:45, a loud noise was heard in the wellbore again, along with a big shock wave, and a second explosion occurred.
The second explosion caused more serious damage to the wellbore facilities, and also made the wellbore debris more tightly blocked, which brought greater difficulties to the clearing work.
Judging from the locations of the 9 miners who have been killed, 5 miners were killed at about 420 meters, and 4 were killed in the third middle section, which is 500 meters. This shows that these 9 miners were killed. All of them were killed by the second explosion impact in the climbing shaft during the self-escape after an explosion, so the second explosion had a greater impact on the miners.
