SVT's investment in local journalism means, in addition to the increase in the number of editorial offices, that another 14 local journalists will be employed in the next few years.

Four special reporters with assignments to bring in the local news and perspectives in the national offer are appointed.

The investment in local material must also be visible on svt.se and in Rapport, Aktuellt and in Morgonstudion.

In addition, resources will be invested in major journalistic initiatives in issues or in places that are important for special review during a period.

This may apply to societal changes where the audience's need for reporting and in-depth study is great.

- SVT is the whole of Swedish television and the new newsrooms will cover Swedish society in all its complexity.

The sample reflects our country with larger and smaller towns and makes it possible for the reporters to even better examine and capture issues that are really important to the viewers, says CEO Hanna Stjärne.
