A case of particularly violent violence against a 15-year-old caused high waves of indignation in France.
A youth was brutally beaten in mid-January by around ten youths in sportswear and hooded jackets in a Paris business district.
The victim was so badly injured that the doctors put the youth in an artificial coma, from which he did not wake until Saturday.
As the Paris public prosecutor's office told the French news agency AFP on Sunday, investigations into attempted murder have been forwarded to the Paris judicial police.
The act of violence occurred on January 15th.
So far, nothing is known about the background to the brutal attack.
Celebrities like the French actor Omar Sy (“Pretty Best Friends”) and national soccer player Antoine Griezmann also responded with tweets at the weekend, wishing them strength and speedy recovery.

A video published on the Internet shows how young people hit a person lying on the ground with sticks and trample.
According to AFP, the presidential palace is said to have spoken to the 15-year-old's mother on Sunday.
