On the 21st of this month, a highly lethal highly pathogenic "H5N8" avian influenza virus was detected in the ducks raised at a farm in Yokoshibahikari Town, Chiba Prefecture, and Chiba Prefecture killed more than 8,000 ducks. Epidemic prevention measures have already been completed on the 21st at farms in 6 prefectures, Hokkaido, Miyagi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Osaka, and Nara, where duck chicks were shipped from this farm in the last week until the virus was confirmed. ..



A total of five poultry farms and duck farms within a 3km radius of the farm were tested negative.



If it is confirmed that there is no risk of infection at the poultry farms in the vicinity, all movement restrictions will be lifted on the 14th of next month, and it is expected that the situation will be resolved.



Since the end of last month in Isumi City in Chiba Prefecture, bird flu has been confirmed one after another at two poultry farms in the city, and epidemic prevention measures such as burying a total of more than 2.2 million chickens are still underway.
