The charges are kidnapping and murder: The convicted child murderer Martin N. is suspected of another crime, according to the French and German media.

N., who became known in Germany as the "mask man" and is responsible for the kidnapping and death of several children, could also have killed the then eleven-year-old Jonathan Coulom.

The little French disappeared on the night of April 7, 2004 from a school camp on the Atlantic coast.

A month later, the boy was found dead in a pond 30 kilometers away, his body was naked and weighed down with a stone.

As reported by the newspaper "Quest France", the French authorities issued an international arrest warrant and an extradition request, which was then granted.

N. has already been transferred to France, report "Bild" and "Spiegel".

There is no official confirmation for the report yet.

The trigger for the renewed investigation are apparently statements by Ns to fellow inmates.

In prison, he is said to have boasted about the crime and also revealed insider knowledge.

Martin N., now 50, was convicted in 2012 for the kidnapping and murder of three boys.

After imprisonment comes the security detention

The crimes occurred between 1992 and 2001. Most recently, the native of Bremen served his life imprisonment (with subsequent preventive detention if the guilt was particularly serious) in the penal institution of Celle (Lower Saxony).

The pediatric criminal has been held responsible for a series of abuses since the early 1990s.

During his break-ins in school, vacation, but also his own homes, N. is said to have often worn a black face mask and black clothes.

During the trial, he confessed to three murders and several dozen acts of abuse.

The investigators suspected even then that the youth worker could have committed more crimes.
