Coronavirus: PCR tests required before arrival in France for European travelers
France tightens its entry conditions.
From Sunday at midnight, a negative PCR test carried out 72 hours before departure will be required for most European travelers wanting to enter its territory in an attempt to contain the Covid-19 pandemic, President Emmanuel Macron announced to the Council European, reported the Elysee late Thursday evening.
This obligation will apply "excluding essential travel", specified the Elysee: "Frontier workers and land transport will in particular be exempt".
During this videoconference summit, Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission ruled that "all non-essential travel should be strongly discouraged", because of a "very serious health situation".
Disappearance of Diary Sow: The Senegalese student says "take a break", according to a letter published by a relative

The young Senegalese student in Paris, Diary Sow, whose disappearance has put her country in turmoil, says she is well and has taken "a little break to find [her] spirits", in exchanges published Thursday evening by a relative.
The words made public by the Minister of Water Serigne Mbaye Thiam, who took the student under his wing, are the first manifestation of reliable and public life on her part since her disappearance in early January.
Diary Sow, 20, enrolled in preparatory class at the prestigious Parisian lycée Louis-Le-Grand, said he had sought a kind of “salutary respite” without being able to explain the reason.
She declares herself surprised and "sorry" for the emotion that her disappearance has caused.
The published exchanges say nothing of the place is the young woman, known in Senegal as the embodiment of academic excellence and success.
