On January 20, a snow leopard waited for an opportunity to prey on a rock sheep in the central Tianshan Mountains in Hejing County, Xinjiang.
Snow leopards, located at the top of the food chain of alpine ecosystems, are known as the "king of snow mountains" because they often move around the alpine snow line in the hinterland of Asia. They are good at rock climbing and their whereabouts are secret.
