According to reports, as of 9:00 on January 20, a total of 190 cases of new coronavirus infections have been detected in Jilin Province of this imported epidemic, including 133 confirmed cases and 57 asymptomatic infections.
The current epidemic prevention and control in Jilin Province has entered a critical period. The State Council’s joint prevention and control mechanism has dispatched a working group of 23 experts to Jilin Province to guide the prevention and control of the epidemic in depth with provincial experts.

Because an imported case from outside the province had been active in two places in our province from January 6 to 11, there were a total of 144 close contacts. During the period when it was highly contagious, the imported case and a large number of people in our province Prolonged contact in a confined space can cause collective transmission.
[Explanation] At present, the confirmed cases of Jilin Province are distributed in Changchun and Gongzhuling City, Tonghua City, and Songyuan City under its jurisdiction. All confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections are for close contacts, sub-close contacts, and within the scope of control. Personnel carried out active screening findings.

At present, the province has investigated and controlled 3206 close contacts, 7091 sub-close contacts, and 300,425 general contacts. All of them have strictly implemented isolation medical observation.
[Explanation] Currently, Jilin Province uses the expansion of nucleic acid testing as a means to detect potential infections in a timely manner. Changchun City, Tonghua City, and Songyuan City have completed a total of 2.448 million nucleic acid tests, realizing "examination as required."

As of 24:00 on January 17, a total of 407,891 samples were collected in the urban area, and the positive cases found in the first round of testing were immediately isolated and controlled, and risk control was carried out on the contact points, effectively cutting off the spread of the epidemic.
Based on the first round of testing, this morning we launched the second round of full-staff nucleic acid testing to achieve full coverage of Tonghua City’s population.
