Every day, nearly 6,000 cyclists take the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

Among them, some are also carrying a small cart.

This is the case of Gurvan Vanzwol, tile washer, Pierre-Louis Billant, osteopath, Julie and Laureline Losardo-Masuelle, bicycle repairers that

presents to you.

No more “metro, work, sleep”, make way for “cycling equals work without forgetting a little rest”.

Cyclostéo, a home office on the move

“The main advantage for patients is that they just have to wait for me,” says Pierre-Louis Billant.

For two and a half years, the osteopath has offered more than a home service: his journeys are made by bicycle, a unique formula on the Côte d'Azur.

“There is a real demand for home consultations in Nice, for people who cannot travel, who have children who cannot be looked after or just those who want to avoid the stress of traffic jams.

Being a great athlete, I thought to myself that I could add something by riding a cargo bike.

"

An initiative that appeals to everyone since, since the launch, Pierre-Louis' activity has grown steadily.

“There are some who do not know, others who do it for the environment.

For me, it's also a way to reduce my carbon footprint.

It's more restrictive than having a cabinet, it requires motivation but the quality of the consultations is the same ”.

With 30 kg to transport between the cart and the table, the osteopath accepts between six and seven consultations per day, "afterwards, physically, it is complicated even if I have electric assistance".

Elite windows, the eco-responsible tile washer

Passers-by give him thumbs up or stop him on the Prom, intrigued.

Gurvan Vanzwol is a tile washer and rides a cargo bike.

“It's not just my means of travel, it's an extraordinary means of communication.

People love it.

"

A year ago, this former delivery man launched his company Élite vitres, which is part of the Acticop cooperative.

“I take care of individuals and professionals.

I can wash facades up to twenty meters in height and with my pole, up to eight meters ”.

All of its activity is eco-responsible.

“I use the pure water system which filters out the particles.

It comes out without limescale, minerals or heavy metals and becomes a detergent that leaves no trace ”.

For the window cleaner, “everyone can add a little drop to change things”.

Vintage Queen Bike Repair, the little queens of cycling

After having broken down several times, Laureline Losardo-Masuelle no longer wanted to be stuck without a solution.

She then decides to learn to repair bicycles.

Three years later, Vintage queen bike repair is "a mobile repair service, at home or at the site of the breakdown".

More than a concept, it is a philosophy adopted by Laureline Losardo-Masuelle and her sidekick Julie.

“Basically, we were working on old bicycles, parts of which are scarce and where the technique is a bit special.

Our will is to make them live as long as possible.

We then extended our activity to all types of bikes with the same mindset: limiting our impact on the environment.

This involves the use of second-hand parts but also with the transmission of our knowledge to customers.
