Late on the night of the 20th, there was a fire in Odate City, Akita Prefecture, which burned three houses, and one was found dead in the burnt remains of the house at the source of the fire.
After the fire, two elderly men and women living in this house have lost contact, and police are confirming their safety.
According to the police, after 11:30 pm on the 20th, a neighbor reported to the fire department that a fire was coming out of the house of Hiroshi Minoya (77), a part-time job in Oshigenai, Odate City.
The fire was extinguished about five hours later, but the fire burned down a part of Minoya's two-story wooden house and hut, burned the walls of the adjacent house, and burned the remains of Minoya's home. One was found in the body.
After the fire, two 65-year-old women living with Minoya have lost contact, and police are confirming their safety.
The site is located in a mountain village about 4 km east of JR Odate Station.
