Temporary workers, artisans, self-employed workers, students, the coronavirus health crisis has pushed a million French people into poverty, according to 10 charities, Abbé Pierre Foundation, Secours Catholique, ATD Fourth World, Emmaüs, Médecins du monde, etc.

A number which is added to the 9.3 million people already living under the poverty line (1,063 euros per month and per consumption unit).

Especially in the countryside, because this new poverty or the increase in it for people who are already precarious, is more hidden than in the city, more silent, we dare not talk about it less.
