[Global Times reporter Yang Weimin] After the opposition leader Li Zhuoren was sold for real estate, Lin Zhuoting of the Democratic Party was also found to have sold the property on the 18th.

They were questioned about leaving Hong Kong for a run.

According to a report by Hong Kong's "Sing Tao Daily" on the 18th, the building in Mei Foo Village, Lai Chi Kok, held by Li Cheuk-ren, was just sold for about 10 million Hong Kong dollars, about 10% below the market price.

Li Zhuoren is currently involved in multiple cases, including participating in an unauthorized demonstration on August 31, 2019, and being charged with 3 counts in 2020 for organizing and participating in a rally held against the police.

He himself revealed on social media that he participated in 4 rallies and was charged with 9 counts in total.

Coincidentally, Lin Zhuoting of the Democratic Party was also found to have sold a Sha Tin property on the 18th. The transaction price was HK$12.68 million, which was about 10% lower than the market price.

Oriental Daily reported that Lin Zhuoting bought the unit in 2009 at HK$5.52 million.

Lin Zhuoting said that the sale of the property is just to prepare his children for further education. Another major reason is that he has to deal with multiple lawsuits and expects to need a lot of money.

He claimed that he had no plan to leave, and that there were multiple lawsuits, travel documents were also detained, and it was impossible to escape from Hong Kong.

It is understood that Lin Zhuoting is responsible for at least 5 criminal cases and faces 8 charges, including on December 28 last year, he was accused of disclosing to the public the identity of an ICAC investigator.

At the beginning of January this year, Lin Zhuoting, who participated in the "primary election" of the pan-democracy, was arrested by the National Security Service of the Police Force on suspicion of violating the Hong Kong National Security Law.

Recently, some opposition parties have sold goods for cash.

Statistics show that Huang Weiming, the father of Huang Zhifeng, the former Secretary General of Hong Kong, sold a building on the Haiyi Peninsula in Ap Lei Chau for HK$9.8 million earlier, which was about 10% below the market price.

Many Hong Kong people suspect that they are trying to flee Hong Kong.

Barrister Gong Jingyi secretly criticized the opposition on social networking sites to sell properties one after another for cash, but she did not know her intention.
