A gift that fell from the sky.

Friday evening during the municipal council, the mayor of Pleumeur-Gautier (Côtes-d'Armor) announced to his team that the town had hit the jackpot by receiving a bequest of 1.375 million euros, reports

Le Télégramme

.

The donor generator is a man from the town who died in March 2019 at the age of 82.

In his will, the deceased stipulates that he bequeaths two life insurance policies to his native village without any inheritance costs.

The donor specifies, however, that the sum, which represents almost double the investment budget of the municipality, should be used for humanitarian purposes, in particular to build social housing or to help "deserving people in need" .
