In order to solve the lack of exercise in winter, the annual "follow-up exercise" of running horses on the snow is being held at the ranch in Otofuke Town, Tokachi, Hokkaido.

At the "Livestock Improvement Center Tokachi Ranch" in Otofuke Town, we carry out a "follow-up exercise" every year in which horses run on snow in winter when they tend to lack exercise.

While the lowest temperature on the morning of the 18th was chilling to -17 degrees Celsius, 87 horses were divided into three groups and ran three laps on a 800-meter lap course at the ranch.

Since next month, many female horses are refraining from giving birth, and they have been shaking their big bodies while exhaling white breath.

The "follow-up movement" is open to the public, but at the ranch, please refrain from visiting from Sapporo City, where unnecessary and unurgent traffic with other areas is requested, and from prefectures where emergency declarations have been issued. It is said.

A woman from Obihiro said, "I like animals because my children love animals, so I came here for the first time because I wanted to show them nearby. It's powerful and cool."

The "follow-up movement" is open to the public until the 29th of this month.
